Born and raised in the Philly burbs, Bill and his wife Lisa Masterson-Hobson, RN, reside in Malvern, Pennsylvania with their six children. Bill graduated from Malvern Prep, the University of Pennsylvania ( BA 77 ) and Widener University School of Law ( JD 1980 )

Bill's extensive career in litigation started with his tour of active duty service as a Lieutenant- JAG Corps in the United States Coast, Seventh District, Miami Fl. Lt. Hobson served on the Presidents Task Force for Drug Interdiction and as Special Assistant US Attorney. Prosecution and Defense Counsel for General and Special US Courts-Martial.

Bill served as a Prosecutor with the State Attorney for Broward County in Ft. Lauderdale. Bill handled criminal matters in the Juvenile, Major Felony, Drug Trafficking, and Sex Crime Units and tried to jury over 50 cases.

Bill returned home to Philadelphia and worked for the legendary James E. Beasley, Esq., trying to verdict and settling medical malpractice, product liability, premise liability and general plaintiff's litigation. Bill has received millon dollar verdicts in both medical and products liability litigation.

Bill established a Plaintiff's Solo Practice law firm in Chester County. He has also provided Risk Management Consultant Services to Health Care Systems to improve patient care and avoid malpractice claims.

He continues to serve in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary with the rank of Lt. Commander.

Bill represents Attorneys before the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board and Law Students before the Board of Bar Examiners.
